Hey there, everyone!
Well, it is officially autumn, and we have made it through another week of football! I'm gonna come right out and be honest with you folks - this week was a little bit of a slow one. We had some rough injuries, some under-performances, and some players who seemed to just hit the snooze button during the Sunday games. But as Bob Dylan tells us, don't think twice, it's alright, y'all! The low weeks just let us appreciate the high ones that much more. Special congratulations to Panic and Snooze for being the only team that broke 120 points this week! And with that, let's get into those matchups.
Well, as previously mentioned, the only team to get above that 120 mark was Panic and Snooze, who sailed to victory over East Side Believers. PAS's Jalen Hurts had a particularly good week against the Commanders, putting up 340 yards and 3 TDs. It was a quiet week for ESB with only Travis Kelce breaking the 15 point mark, and a let-down performance from Carson Wentz despite reports that ESB specifically requested otherwise. Great match, you two!
Biscuits with the Boss rode an outstanding performance from Lamar Jackson to the W over No Punt Intended, who once again padded those stats with over 100 rushing yards. NPI had consistency across his line up this week, but unfortunately that consistency was folks who normally have 20+ point games barely breaking into the teens. In the end it was hard-fought, but BWTB could not be stopped. Good job!
Rubber City Roughnecks made a Monday night comeback to take victory over Zip Zop Zooies this week with a heavy dose of Saquon Barkley and 81 rushing yards and TD. ZZZ's Josh Allen put up a good fight with 400 passing yards and 2 TDs, but ZZZ struggled to get started elsewhere on the line up. RCR made it over the top and wound up with the win. Well done to you both!
Finally, our household matchup this week was AdamBlowsGoats-HaveProof going up against PasswordIsTACO. This was another one that went down to the Monday night wire, and TACO's CeeDee Lamb clinched the victory with a last minute TD. ABG-HP had a solid day from Derrick Henry and his 85 rushing yards and a TD, but it wasn't quite enough to break TACO's winning streak quite yet. Nice work!
Alright everyone, that's just about all there is to say for week three. Let's hope this coming week offers a little more action! To the winners, a big Barbecue Sauce HQ congratulations! To everyone else, be like Jay-Z and get that dirt off your shoulder, because week four starts now.
Hugs & Kisses,
Your Commish
